Like most cosmetic procedures, the Brazilian Butt Lift starts with anesthesia. Then Dr. Larsen will begin extracting donor fat cells using liposuction. The “donor” fat he uses is typically collected from areas of your body that have some excess fat like the lower portion of the back, the hips, or the area below the buttocks. If more fat is needed to be grafted back into the buttocks, other areas may also be liposuctioned.

About six months after the procedure, the results are considered final. This means any residual swelling has subsided, and your body has had a chance to heal any incisions.  What is recovery like?

Before scheduling a microneedling procedure, it’s best to start with a consultation. Your provider will analyze your skin type (age, ethnicity, possible skin conditions/restrictions) and provide you with the best treatment plan. 

 The recovery for microneedling is minimal. Few people experience any adverse reactions, including minor skin irritation immediately following the treatment. Your body will slow its production of Collagen starting in your early 20s. The body will continue to decrease its collagen production at a rate of 1-2% per year. Collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the human body responsible for the elasticity and firmness of our skin (among other things like lubricating your joints). The Problem: Stress

Unfortunately, a lack of collagen production isn’t the only contributing factor to the signs of aging. Stress can also affect your skin and the brightness of your complexion. First environmental stress like sun damage can take a toll on our skin’s youthful glow and contribute to sunspots’ appearance.

However, emotional stress can cause you to tighten the muscles in your face; this leads to creases as the facial muscles contract and fold. These contractions are often responsible for forehead lines, wrinkles between your eyebrows, and frown lines. The combination of these wrinkles develops because muscle contractions and essential fat deposits dissolve as collagen production slows deep lines and wrinkles.
